About The Position

Wilson Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for its Emergency Department, which consists of 26 treatment areas (20 beds in the main ED, a 6 bay Fast Track area, and a vertical flow space). With a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4, the diverse staff includes RNs, LPNs, CNAs, and Unit Secretaries. The facility is a Certified Chest Pain and Primary Stroke Center, with an average daily census of 120 patients. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to high-quality emergency medical care in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

Current state RN license
Degree from an accredited nursing school
Basic Life Support certification is required within 30 days of hire
ACLS and PALS are required within six months of hire

Nice To Haves

TNCC, NRP, ENPC, CEN preferred
One year of experience preferred

Responsibilities

Accurately performs patient assessments and identifies patient needs
Identifies and initiates appropriate nursing interventions
Provides care appropriate to condition and age of the patient
Performs timely and appropriate documentation relating to medical necessity in the medical record
Responsible for completion and revision of the Interdisciplinary Care Plan for each patient
Performs timely and accurate QI assessments
