About The Position

This is a Full-Time Registered Nurse (RN) position in the Emergency Department at Lourdes Health, part of Lifepoint Health. The role involves providing specialized plan-of-care interventions and serving as a patient-care innovator. The Emergency Department is staffed 24/7 and is a Level IV Trauma Center and Level II Stroke Center. Requirements

• Current state RN license
• Bachelor’s degree or associate degree from an accredited nursing school
• ACLS, BCLS, PALS; NIHSS within 90 days of hire

Responsibilities

• Performs plan of care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, and other medical care activities.
• Documents patient care provided.
• Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition to the care team, physician, patient, and family.
• Assists patients with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
• Collaborates across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including transfers, discharges, referrals, and psychosocial/spiritual support needs.
• Evaluates patient and family learning needs and provides appropriate education based on age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
• Advocates for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.
• Participates in performance improvement and continuing education.
• Provides quality patient care and works flexible shifts or units as needed.
• Maintains regular and reliable attendance.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
