About The Position

Wilson Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for their Emergency Services department on a PRN basis. This in-person role is part of the Health Support Center (HSC) team, supporting patient care within the facility. The Emergency Department features 26 treatment areas, including 20 main ED beds, a 6-bay Fast Track area, and a vertical flow space. With a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4, the diverse staff collaborates to deliver exceptional care. The facility is a Certified Chest Pain and Primary Stroke Center, handling an average daily census of 120 patients. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to high-quality emergency medical care in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

  • Current state RN license
  • Degree from an accredited nursing school
  • Basic Life Support certification is required within 30 days of hire
  • ACLS and PALS are required within six months of hire

Nice To Haves

  • TNCC, NRP, ENPC, CEN preferred
  • One year of experience preferred
  • Compassionate nurse with a deep understanding of critical care principles and advanced patient monitoring

Responsibilities

  • Accurately performs patient assessments and identifies patient needs
  • Identifies and initiates appropriate nursing interventions
  • Provides care appropriate to condition and age of the patient
  • Performs timely and appropriate documentation relating to medical necessity in the medical record
  • Responsible for completion and revision of the Interdisciplinary Care Plan for each patient
  • Performs timely and accurate QI assessments
