About The Position

This position is for a Registered Nurse (RN) II in the Emergency Department at Texas Health Rockwall. The role is full-time, requiring 36 hours per week, with three 12-hour night shifts from 7 pm to 7 am, including every other weekend. The department offers engaged leadership, a supportive team environment, and new, advanced equipment and technology. New hires must be able to attend training at the corporate office in Arlington for the first 1-5 days.

Requirements

Nursing Diploma or Associate’s degree in Nursing required
1 year experience as registered nurse or completion of an RN residency program required
Texas RN - Registered Nurse required upon hire
BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care required upon hire and maintained quarterly
CPI - Crisis Prevention Intervention Training required within 90 days of hire and maintained annually
ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support required within 90 days of hire
PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support required within 90 days of hire
A high degree of confidentiality, positive interpersonal skills, and ability to function in a fast-paced environment.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s degree in Nursing preferred
Emergency Department experience or trauma unit experience strongly preferred
TNCC - Trauma Nursing Core Course preferred upon hire
