Our Emergency Department is staffed 24/7 with emergency physicians, nurses and staff who are trained in providing emergency care. Our team combines advanced training with compassionate service to be ready for providing excellent patient care. The organization promotes a positive work environment through teamwork, schedule flexibility, and a strong focus on professional support and work life balance. The Emergency Department is a Level IV Trauma Center and a Level II Stroke Center, operating on 12-hour shifts with 9 beds.

Requirements

  • Current state RN license
  • Bachelor’s degree or associate degree from an accredited nursing school
  • ACLS, BCLS, PALS; NIHSS within 90 days of hire
  • 1 to 3 years of RN Emergency Department experience required

Responsibilities

  • Performs plan of care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, and other medical care activities.
  • Documents patient care provided.
  • Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition to the care team, physician, patient, and family.
  • Assists patients with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
  • Collaborates across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including transfers, discharges, referrals, and psychosocial/spiritual support needs.
  • Evaluates patient and family learning needs and provides appropriate education based on age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
  • Advocates for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.
  • Participates in performance improvement and continuing education.
  • Provides quality patient care and works flexible shifts or units as needed.
  • Maintains regular and reliable attendance.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
