About The Position

Registered Nurse (RN) – Emergency Department – Full-time, 1P – Free-standing Facility, TH Willow Park. Bring your passion to Texas Health so we are better + together. Work location: Texas Health Willow Park, 101 Crown Point Blvd, Willow Park, TX 76087. Work hours: Full-time, 36 hours weekly, 3–12-hour shifts, 1:00 pm – 1:00 am. Department Highlights: 10-bed emergency department. Located about 20 miles west of downtown Ft. Worth. Open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Full-service ED with highly qualified nursing staff. Providing care for a wide variety of patients from neonate, pediatric and seniors covering an array of illnesses and injuries. Enjoy self-scheduling to help with work/life balance. Requirements

  • Nursing Diploma or Associate Degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred
  • Current RN licensure or compact licensure recognized by the Texas Board of Nursing upon hire
  • Must comply with CLIA regulations regarding foreign education equivalency
  • BCLS – prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required
  • ACLS – within 90 days of hire required
  • PALS – within 90 days of hire required
  • NIHSS – within 90 days of hire required
  • TNCC or ATCN – within 12 months of hire required
  • ENPC – within 12 months of hire required
  • CPI – Crisis Prevention Intervention Training – within 90 days of hire required
  • 1-year registered nursing experience or completion of an RN residency program required
  • In addition to the required qualifications, a successful RN will demonstrate a high degree of confidentiality, positive interpersonal skills, and ability to function in a fast-paced environment.

  • possess a strong work ethic and always display a high level of professionalism
  • have basic computer skills using medical management application systems

Nice To Haves

  • Current ED, ICU/PCU experience strongly preferred

Responsibilities

  • Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process: assesses the patient, plans the care of the patient, intervenes as appropriate, evaluates the effectiveness of interventions.
  • Incorporates age specific safety/infection control measures into patient care.
  • Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others need for information.
  • Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and while expediting out of hospital transfers.
  • Delivery of high quality of patient care through nursing education, nursing research and innovations in nursing practice.
