About The Position

This is a PRN position with rotating shifts. Lourdes Health is part of Lifepoint Health, a diversified healthcare delivery network. The Emergency Department is staffed 24/7 with emergency physicians, nurses, and staff trained in providing emergency care. The team combines advanced training with compassionate service to provide excellent patient care. The organization promotes a positive work environment through teamwork, schedule flexibility, and a strong focus on professional support and work-life balance. The facility is a Level IV Trauma Center and a Level II Stroke Center, offering 12-hour shifts with 9 beds.

Requirements

  • Current state RN license
  • Bachelor’s degree or associate degree from an accredited nursing school
  • ACLS, BCLS, PALS; NIHSS within 90 days of hire
  • 1 to 3 years of RN Emergency Department experience required

Nice To Haves

  • Charge Nurse experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Performs plan of care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, and other medical care activities.
  • Documents patient care provided.
  • Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition to the care team, physician, patient, and family.
  • Assists patients with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
  • Collaborates across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including transfers, discharges, referrals, and psychosocial/spiritual support needs.
  • Evaluates patient and family learning needs and provides appropriate education based on age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
  • Advocates for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.
  • Participates in performance improvement and continuing education.
  • Provides quality patient care and works flexible shifts or units as needed.
  • Maintains regular and reliable attendance.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
