About The Position

Aurora Health (now part of Advocate Health) WI Float Pool is a multi‑site resource team supporting Emergency Department (ED) care across the Wisconsin division. Float RNs provide adaptable, high‑quality nursing care across multiple hospitals and units based on organizational need. Requirements

  • Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
  • Registered Nurse license issued by the state of practice
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association
  • ACLS, PALS, TNCC
  • Minimum 2 years of ED RN experience required
  • Weekend Requirement (Friday 1900 – Monday 0700): 1 Weekend Shift per 2 schedule period
  • Holiday Requirement: 1 Holiday per year

Nice To Haves

  • Strongly Prefer 2 years ED RN Experience

Responsibilities

  • Providing safe, therapeutic, evidence‑based nursing care in alignment with established standards, policies, and procedures
  • Demonstrating adaptability by floating to multiple care environments within a designated Zone, integrating quickly into new departments, and collaborating with diverse teams
  • Leading efforts that support the safest patient environment and best possible patient experience
  • Coordinating care for diverse patient populations within various acute‑care, hospital outpatient departments and clinic settings
  • Maintaining the competency required to practice in all acute‑care facilities within the designated zone
