About The Position

The Registered Nurse (RN) Educator is responsible for developing, coordinating, and delivering orientation programs for new nursing employees. This role also involves designing and conducting ongoing education, competency assessments, and annual mandatory training. The educator will provide clinical instruction, coaching, and mentorship to nursing staff, evaluate staff performance, and identify learning needs. A key aspect of this position is ensuring compliance with federal, state, accreditation, and organizational standards, and collaborating with nursing leadership to improve clinical practices and patient outcomes. The role includes developing educational materials, policies, procedures, and evidence-based learning resources, as well as maintaining accurate records of employee education, certifications, and competencies. Additionally, the RN Educator will facilitate continuing education opportunities, support professional development, and participate in quality improvement initiatives.

Requirements

  • Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the applicable state.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) required.
  • Knowledge of adult learning principles and evidence-based practice.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and learning management systems (LMS).

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree in Nursing, Education, or a related field preferred.
  • Previous teaching, precepting, or staff education experience preferred.
