About The Position
The UH Lake West ED is a Level 3 Trauma Center consisting of 20 beds on the main side of the ED for acute patients. It also has 5 super track rooms for lower acuity patients to maintain patient flow. This role provides safe, efficient, age-specific nursing care to patients and their families using the nursing process to help them achieve and maintain optimal health status.
Requirements
- Diploma in Nursing or Associate's Degree in Nursing (Required)
- Registered Nurse (RN), Ohio and/or Multi State Compact License (Required Upon Hire)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) (Required Upon Hire)
- Knowledge of nursing process and practice. (Required proficiency)
- Uses a wide variety of technical equipment to meet patient needs and prescribed clinical therapies (ie. stethoscopes, thermometers, sphygmomanometers and electronic monitoring devices. (Required proficiency)
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (Preferred)
- Master in Nursing (Preferred)
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) May be required based on the clinical care standards of the unit.
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) May be required based on the clinical care standards of the unit.
