About The Position

This is a full-time Registered Nurse position in the Hemodialysis department at Advocate South Suburban Hospital. The role involves providing holistic patient care, recognizing situational changes, and responding with confidence and timeliness. Proficient computer skills, excellent communication, and strong interpersonal skills are essential. The nurse will be responsible for critical independent decision-making, organization, prioritization, and problem-solving in a fast-paced environment. Collaboration, delegation, and team-building skills are also important.

Requirements

  • Completion of an accredited or approved program in Nursing.
  • Typically requires 1 year of experience in clinical nursing.
  • Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the team member practices.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA).
  • Proficient computer skills.
  • Excellent communication (written and verbal), listening and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated human relation skills.
  • Ability to take initiative and work collaboratively with others.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively make critical independent decisions.
  • Excellent organization, prioritization, and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated time management skills with an ability to multi-task and prioritize in an environment with frequent interruptions.
  • Demonstrated coordination, collaboration, delegation, and team building skills.
  • Maintain annual educational requirements for hospital based certifications (e.g. DNV CARF or others).
