Registered Nurse (RN) - Dialysis
About The Position
The Registered Nurse (RN) is the heart of patient care at Workfit Staffing, making a positive difference in the lives of patients, their families, and visitors. This role involves providing high-quality, patient-centered clinical care to adults with chronic kidney disease from diverse backgrounds. Patients may receive dialysis temporarily or on an ongoing basis, with treatments typically occurring 2-3 times per week and lasting 3-5 hours per session. The staffing model includes RNs, LPNs, and Techs. This is a travel assignment with opportunities in Auburn, Buffalo, Rochester, Clifton Springs, and Geneva, NY, requiring adherence to a radius rule of 50 to 100 miles depending on the assignment.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN).
- Registered Nurse license in New York State.
- Dialysis experience.
- Minimum 1 year nursing experience.
- BLS – Basic Life Support – American Heart Association (AHA)
- Charge Nurse experience required.
- Outpatient chronic and acute experience required.
- Charge Nurse for 24 chair unit when assigned.
- Acute 8 station coverage.
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, patient-centered clinical care.
- Perform initial and ongoing assessments of patients, using physical, psychological, educational, and risk-screen data appropriate for the patient’s age and development.
- Communicate and document patient assessments with the interdisciplinary team and utilize all available resources to meet patient and family needs.
- Develop and document individualized plans of care, treatments, and services based on patient needs, strengths, limitations, and goals.
- Comply with organizational policies, procedures, and protocols, including safety, medication administration, and documentation standards.
- Revise plans of care based on ongoing evaluations and update documentation accordingly.
- Complete at least one Clinical Research Utilization (CRU) form per year using a research article from the last five years conducted in the United States.
- Complete a minimum of 5 nationally approved contact hours (CNE or CEU) per year.
- Complete mandatory in-services and health screenings in a timely manner.
- Maintain Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Benefits
- Pay Rate: $2,137.50 to $2,280 weekly
- Guarantee Hours (Weekly): 40 hours
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
