Join a highly stable and collaborative dialysis team where you'll be supported by experienced leaders and clinicians who are invested in your success. Our unit offers a comprehensive 10–12-week orientation. New grads are welcome. With long-tenured staff, including nurse leaders, an experienced NP, a nephrologist who rounds monthly, a social worker, and dietitian, you'll work in a true team-based environment focused on delivering exceptional patient care. Our census is capped at 24 patients, allowing nurses to build meaningful patient relationships while working alongside skilled technicians in a supportive and well-established culture.

Requirements

  • Current Michigan RN license
  • Associate degree from an accredited nursing school
  • Basic Life Support Certification
  • Annual Influenza Vaccination or Declination

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree preferred

Responsibilities

  • Directs and/or performs initiation of dialysis treatments, monitoring, and ending of treatment.
  • Performs plan of care intervention, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, as well as other medical care treatment.
  • Plans and documents patient care given.
  • Monitors, records, and communicate patient condition as appropriate to care team, physician, patient, and family.
  • Evaluates the assessment, planning and intervention process.
  • Demonstrates professional and personal development.
  • Delivers direct patient care appropriate to the age of patient served including adult and geriatric patients.
  • Works as an advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
