Registered Nurse (RN) - Dialysis
About The Position
The hemodialysis unit at Atrium Health Cabarrus provides specialized inpatient care for patients with acute and chronic kidney failure requiring dialysis during hospitalization. Services include both routine and urgent treatments, delivered in the dialysis unit or at the bedside in critical care areas. Care is provided by a multidisciplinary team of nephrologists, dialysis-trained nurses, and technicians, with a focus on safe treatment delivery, vascular access management, fluid and electrolyte balance, and infection prevention. The unit emphasizes coordinated, patient-centered care and collaborates closely with outpatient services to ensure smooth transitions after discharge.
Requirements
- Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
- Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association
- One year of RN experience required
Nice To Haves
- Previous Dialysis experience preferred
- Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred
