About The Position

This role is for a Dialysis Registered Nurse at PAM Health. The nurse will be responsible for utilizing the nursing process to deliver, direct, and supervise care to patients on the nursing unit. This includes interdisciplinary planning, discharge planning, patient and family teaching for post-hospitalization, and accessing community resources. The role may also involve performing Charge Nurse duties, which requires ACLS certification. Dialysis Nurses specifically oversee dialysis treatments for patients with acute or chronic kidney failure as ordered by physicians.

Requirements

RN License in the state you are applying
Current BLS certification
Current ACLS certification is preferred initially and required after 90 days of employment.
ACLS is REQUIRED from day 1 for all Charge Nurses, High Obs, and ICU.
Certification through the Nephrology Nursing Certification Commission (NNCC) is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Utilizing the nursing process while delivering, directing and supervising care to patients admitted to the nursing unit.
Planning, coordinating, and providing patient care to include interdisciplinary planning, discharge planning, patient and family teaching for post-hospitalization, and accessing community resources.
Overseeing dialysis treatments required by patients suffering from acute or chronic kidney failure as ordered by physicians.
Performing Charge Nurse duties (ACLS certification required).
