Registered Nurse (RN) - Diabetes Clinic
About The Position
This is a hospital-based outpatient Diabetes Clinic position where the Registered Nurse (RN) will work alongside an Advanced Practice Nurse (APN) in seeing patients. The role also involves cross-coverage in other outpatient clinics, specifically Cardiology and Wound care. The RN will play a pivotal role in providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures. This involves using evidence-based practice, clinical decision-making, compassion, and communication skills while leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum.
Requirements
- Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
- Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association
- 2 years of RN experience required
Responsibilities
- Provide and coordinate comprehensive patient care through the nursing process.
- Deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures.
- Utilize evidence-based practice, clinical decision-making, compassion, and communication skills.
- Lead efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience.
- See patients in the Diabetes Clinic.
- Cross-cover in other outpatient clinics, including Cardiology and Wound care.
