About The Position

Join our team as a day shift, full-time, Day Surgery (OR) Registered Nurse in Westwood, NJ. Hackensack Meridian Pascack Valley Medical Center is a 128-bed, full-service, acute-care community hospital with a new emergency department, a state-of-the-art maternity center, a women's imaging center, and an ICU. This Registered Nurse (RN) is a specialized ambulatory care nurse, defined as a nurse who provides episodic care to patients for 24 hours or less in many different settings. The RN cares for patients before and after same-day surgery and some patients undergoing outpatient procedures. They also use cost-effective ways to assist patients in promoting health, preventing disease, and managing chronic or acute health problems. Finally, the RN promotes self-management and assists family members or friends in caring for their loved ones.

Requirements

Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing.
1+ years’ experience working as a Medical Surgical Nurse.
New Jersey RN license.
BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
Pediatric advanced life support (PALS) certification.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s degree of Science in Nursing.
