About The Position

Join our team as a day shift, full-time, Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) Circulator Registered Nurse (RN) in Tulsa, OK. The Cardiothoracic and Vascular Operating Room Registered Nurse (CVOR RN) is responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation, and documentation of perioperative nursing care for patients undergoing cardiac, thoracic, and vascular surgical procedures. As the circulating nurse, the RN coordinates the intraoperative environment to ensure the delivery of safe, efficient, and high-quality patient care by maintaining a sterile surgical environment, coordinating resources, promoting effective communication among the interdisciplinary team, and serving as the patient's advocate throughout the surgical experience. The CVOR RN demonstrates specialized knowledge of complex cardiac, thoracic, and vascular surgical procedures, advanced surgical technology, patient safety principles, and perioperative nursing practice while exercising sound clinical judgment and critical thinking in a high-acuity surgical setting. Responsibilities are performed in accordance with hospital policies and procedures, professional nursing standards, regulatory and accreditation requirements, and the Oklahoma Nursing Practice Act.

Requirements

  • ADN or BSN
  • Registered Nurse
  • A minimum of 1-year Nursing experience
  • Oklahoma or applicable Multi-state RN license (upon hire)
  • BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care
  • ACLS (within 30 days of hire)
  • PALS (within 30 days of hire)

Responsibilities
