This position involves providing direct patient care in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) using the nursing process in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice. The role serves various patient populations including Neonate, Infant, Early Childhood, Late Childhood, Adolescent, Young Adult, Middle Adult, and Older Adult. Employees will access Protected Health Information including Demographic, Clinical, Insurance, and Financial information, as well as the complete medical record. There is occupational exposure to bloodborne pathogens present for all employees. Physical requirements include frequent standing, walking, lifting/moving patients, and repetitive hand/arm movements. There is regular exposure to biological and chemical hazards, including blood and bodily fluids, hazardous medications, and latex.
