This is a full-time Registered Nurse position within the Critical Care: Rapid Response Team at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center. The role involves engaging in unit councils, professional governance, and quality initiatives to improve care processes and apply evidence-based practices. The nurse will utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, diagnose, implement, and evaluate nursing care, engaging patients and families throughout the continuum of care. Key responsibilities include monitoring patient conditions, adjusting care plans, mobilizing resources, collaborating with the care team to influence care outcomes, and upholding a culture of safety. The position requires continuous evaluation of patient, team, and unit outcomes, with the ability to administer medications, treatments, and therapies safely. Effective communication, feedback, and conflict resolution are essential, as is fostering team collaboration and appropriate delegation. The role also involves pursuing professional development, completing required education, and maintaining certifications, while adhering to ethical decision-making and respecting interdisciplinary roles. Accurate and timely EHR documentation is required. The nurse may be required to float to other units or facilities to meet patient care needs and must demonstrate knowledge of age-appropriate care.
