About The Position

At MercyOne, health care is more than just a doctor’s visit or a place to go when you’re in need of medical attention. Our Mission is based on improving the health of our communities – that means not only when you are sick but keeping you well. MercyOne Genesis Hospice Care brings compassionate support directly into the heart of the community, helping patients and families navigate serious illness with comfort, respect, and reassurance. By delivering hospice services in the home, this program allows individuals to remain in familiar surroundings, supported by the routines, relationships, and memories that bring them peace. The care provided is both comprehensive and deeply personal. Rather than centering solely on medical treatment, the team emphasizes comfort, symptom relief, and emotional well-being, ensuring patients feel cared for as individuals, not just diagnoses. MercyOne Genesis Hospice Care also recognizes the essential role of family and caregivers. Education, guidance, and hands-on support empower loved ones to feel confident in caring for someone at home, while respite services and counseling offer much-needed balance and encouragement. Bereavement support extends this care beyond the patient’s journey, helping families process loss and find a path forward. This approach reflects a simple but powerful philosophy: care should meet people where they are—physically, emotionally, and spiritually. For many, that means remaining at home, surrounded by loved ones, with a trusted team walking alongside them. The impact of this care is made possible in part through community generosity. If you feel called to support MercyOne Genesis Hospice Care, there are several ways to give. Financial gifts can be made online through the MercyOne Genesis Foundation, mailed directly, or arranged as tribute or legacy donations. You can also support the mission by volunteering or taking part in community fundraising efforts. Every gift helps bring comfort, connection, and dignity to those who need it most.
