About The Position

Atrium Health Levine Children's Pediatric Extended Care in Concord, NC, provides comprehensive quality health care and patient education to children and adolescents. The facility operates Monday through Friday from 5pm-8pm and on Saturdays from 8am-8pm, offering care for newborns to teenagers. This role involves direct patient care and assisting the manager with daily operations, including patient care coordination, resource allocation, communication, patient throughput, program development, rounding, staff selection and development, clinical supervision, performance appraisal, performance improvement, service recovery, and regulatory compliance. The position supports the manager in enhancing nursing practice and care delivery through systematic approaches. The RN will perform nursing care, assist with treatments and procedures, administer medications, and coordinate patient flow and staffing based on continuous assessment of volume and acuity needs.

Requirements

  • Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
  • Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
  • BSN required. RN candidates for external hire or internal promotion without BSN must be enrolled in a BSN program within 1 year of Hire/Transfer date and must complete program within 3 years of enrollment in the program.
  • Appropriate professional certification (either clinical or leadership) is required within 1 year of eligibility for professional certification exam.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum two (2) years nursing experience preferred.
  • Previous management experience preferred.
