The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Clinical Resource Unit (CRU) is responsible for utilizing the nursing process to assess, plan, diagnose, implement, and evaluate nursing care. This role involves engaging patients and families throughout their continuum of care, monitoring patient conditions, adjusting care plans, mobilizing resources, and collaborating with the care team to achieve positive outcomes. The RN will uphold a culture of safety, continuously evaluate outcomes, and administer medications and treatments as needed. Effective communication, conflict resolution, and appropriate delegation are key. The position also requires pursuing professional development, adhering to ethical standards, and maintaining accurate EHR documentation. RNs in this unit may be required to float to other units, departments, care areas, or facilities within the designated service area to meet patient care needs. They must demonstrate age-specific knowledge and skills to provide appropriate care.
