About The Position

The Ambulatory Dept RN functions as a member of the Healthcare team in a manner consistent with their scope of practice in Pennsylvania in concert with the policies and procedures of St. Christopher's Hospital for Children. The RN is responsible for assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation & documentation of care provided, and patient response to interventions. The RN promotes image enhancement on the organization and its service. Travels between main campus and satellite offices. Prescription refills. Telephone triage. Manage clinic flow and patient care (e.g. injections of specialty meds, etc). Authorizations of specialty meds (e.g. Lupron, testosterone, growth hormone, diabetes supplies, etc). Patient education (e.g. diabetes, other endocrine disorders, etc.)

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing
  • Experience required
  • PA Registered Nurse License
  • BLS Certification
  • PALS Certification
  • Customer Service Skills
  • Excellent Communications Skills
  • Excellent Interpersonal Skills

  • Peds experience preferred
