About The Position

The Gastrointestinal Nurse will support the Medical Centers medicine and Level 1 Trauma Center, delivering high-quality care to patients based on assessed needs, established standards of care and according to policy and procedures. This 16 bed unit has ratios ranging from 4 to 6 patients per nurse. This nurse will help manage liver patients (pre and post-transplant), cystic fibrosis patients, many off-service patients and some behavioral health components with medical needs. Requirements

  • Registered Nurse (RN) license.
  • Clinical Nurse (CN I) designation.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with physician teams.
  • Participate in starting unit councils.
