About The Position

The Clinical Instructor works in cooperation with nursing staff, physicians, and members of related health services to create a learning environment in which nursing and other staff can develop knowledge and skills toward our goal to provide optimal, achievable patient care. The role serves as a role model, resource person, and educator, functioning within the framework of established philosophies and objectives of University Medical Center and Nursing Services.

Requirements

  • Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing.
  • Current RN licensure from Texas State Board of Nurse Examiners or compact state.
  • Three years of professional nursing experience.
  • Bachelor's of Science degree in Nursing required.
  • Experience in the specific clinical area (Acute Care Orthopedics/Medical Surgical Ortho).

Nice To Haves

  • Supervisory experience desired.
  • BLS instructor status is highly recommended.
