The Registered Nurse (RN) role models clinical excellence and the core competencies of the practice standards of the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO), as well as the policies and procedures of Southlake Health. The RN works collaboratively as a member of the health care team. All nurses make a commitment to lifelong learning. The successful candidate will be motivated, self-directed and a key member of a dynamic interdisciplinary team with defined roles focused on quality patient care and patient flow. The successful candidate will be responsible to provide excellent care to a diverse acute medical patient population in a fast-paced setting. Southlake Health will be offering a paid Critical Care Nursing Program through the Michener Institute, based on the qualifications at the bottom of the posting. Summer/Fall cohort dates: February 23, 2026 (Hospital orientation February 17, 2026). The Critical Care Nursing Program through the Michener Institute is an 11-week course with paid full-time hours, a combination of instructor-led virtual and clinical education, a formal 3-month mentorship offered after course completion, and additional in-house opportunities for further certifications after course completion.
