About The Position

Our Chestnut PACU offers support and comes fully equipped to help you do what YOU do best, provide care for our patients! DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION: Prepares the patient in the pre-op area for surgery, and provides care for patients during recovery post-surgery, Outpatient Operating Rooms. Patient Population: Mostly Pediatric, some adults, Inpatient and Outpatient. RNs in the Chestnut PACU are responsible for providing care in both the preoperative and postoperative areas of the unit, as well as completing pre-anesthesia evaluations as part of their standard patient care responsibilities.

Requirements

• Successfully passed Board of Registration in Nursing Examination and is licensed in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
• Current American Heart Association Health Care Provider CPR certification required.
• Minimum 1 year RN experience required.
• Critical care experience required.
• Diploma in Nursing (Required)
• Basic Life Support - American Heart Association
• Registered Nurse - State of Massachusetts

Nice To Haves

• Pediatric experience preferred.
• BSN preferred.

Responsibilities
