This position is for a Registered Nurse (RN) in the Critical Care: ICU department, working 36 hours per week on a 7p-7a schedule. The role involves engaging in unit councils, professional governance, and quality initiatives to improve care processes and apply evidence-based practices. The RN will utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, diagnose, implement, and evaluate nursing care, engaging patients and families throughout the continuum of care. Key responsibilities include monitoring patient conditions, adjusting care plans, mobilizing resources, collaborating with the care team, and upholding a culture of safety. The role also involves continuous evaluation of patient, team, and unit outcomes, administering medications and treatments, fostering team collaboration, pursuing professional development, and adhering to ethical practices. The RN will delegate appropriately to other nursing staff and maintain accurate EHR documentation. There is a possibility of floating to other units to meet patient care needs. The position requires the ability to provide age-appropriate care, demonstrating knowledge of growth and development across the lifespan.
