About The Position

This full-time Registered Nurse (RN) opportunity in the CATH LAB offers 40 hours per week, full benefits, and a convenient day shift schedule (7am-3:30pm Monday-Friday). There is an opportunity for overtime and to cover various shifts if interested, along with on-call shift requirements. Requirements

Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program (A.D., Diploma, B.S.N., or Master's Degree in Nursing)
Current registered nurses license in the State of Florida
Current American Heart Association BLS, ACLS
Willingness to be cross trained to other areas
Basic computer skills

Nice To Haves

Minimum of two (2) year’s Critical Care/IR/Cath Lab experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Responsible and accountable for all nursing care provided to their patients.
Assisting the cardiologist and other allied professionals, both technically and clinically in the assessment, planning, executing and evaluating the care of Interventional patients.
Willing to cross train and float to other Imaging Service areas to meet the needs of the facility.
Recognizes the signs and symptoms of stroke and calling a stroke alert overhead.
Verbalizes stroke alert process.
Performs and documents the NIHSS, administration and monitoring of thrombolytic therapy if patient deemed a candidate, preparation of patient for Endovascular treatment as indicated, assumes patient care of the stroke alert while in Interventional Radiology Department.
Maintains currency in stroke knowledge by completing the NIHSS training and a minimum of 8 hours of stroke related training annually.
