Registered Nurse (RN) - Cardiovascular Stepdown (Part Time)
About The Position
The Registered Nurse will work on the Cardiovascular Stepdown unit in Newark, Delaware. The unit provides experience caring for patients undergoing cardiac catheterization and angioplasty, as well as patients with cardiac dysrhythmia and myocardial infarction. Nurses also care for vascular surgical patients, including those undergoing femoral-popliteal bypass, abdominal aortic aneurysm repair, carotid endarterectomy, and carotid stenting. The unit has earned a silver-level Beacon Award from the American Association of Critical-Care Nurses, recognizing continual learning and effective systems for optimal patient care. This is a part-time position listed as 40 hours per pay period, with rotating day and night shifts. Weekend and holiday work is required according to department guidelines.
Requirements
- BSN required, or commitment to obtain a BSN within three years of the date of hire.
- Two years of cardiac stepdown nursing experience required.
- BLS certification required.
- Delaware RN licensure or eligibility for licensure in Delaware.

- ACLS certification preferred.
