About Our Unit: Our CVOR is the heart of innovation at Atrium Health Carolinas Medical Center. We specialize in cardiac, vascular, and thoracic surgeries for both adult and pediatric patients. As a high-volume advanced heart failure center, we perform a high volume of LVAD, mechanical circulatory support and transplant procedures, offering nurses unparalleled experience in advanced surgical care. We are also a regional leader in pediatric cardiac surgery, providing life-saving interventions for our youngest patients. In addition, our team handles complex vascular and thoracic cases, giving nurses a diverse and enriching skill set. Requirements

  • Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
  • Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association

Nice To Haves

  • Previous Cardiovascular Operating Room experience strongly preferred for this position

Responsibilities

  • As a skilled and compassionate RN, you will play a pivotal role in providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Using evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and skills communication while leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum.
