Registered Nurse (RN) - Cardiac
About The Position
Reporting to the Director of Cardiology, the Cardiology Review Nurse is a clinical expert responsible for ensuring the American College of Cardiology database is complete for each eligible patient who has had a cardiac catheterization, cardiac intervention, and/or insertion of an implantable cardioverter defibrillator. This role involves developing methods to facilitate the completion of required data fields, assuring accurate data reporting to Tenet's selected software, developing protocols to assist the facility and physicians, performance improvement activities, and educational presentations. The Cardiology Review Nurse ensures quality and consistency through planning, communication, critical thinking, and facilitation of the multi-disciplinary patient care team.
Requirements
- Current California RN License.
Nice To Haves
- Five years of cardiac catheterization and interventional cardiology or critical care experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Ensuring the database of the American College of Cardiology is complete for each eligible patient who has had a cardiac catheterization, cardiac intervention and/or insertion of an implantable cardioverter defibrillator.
- Develop methods to facilitate the completion of the required data fields of the American College of Cardiology.
- Assure accurate reporting of the data to the Tenet selected software.
- Develop protocols to assist the facility and physicians in said task.
- Conduct performance improvement activities.
- Deliver educational presentations.
- Ensure quality and consistency through planning, communication, critical thinking and facilitation of the multi-disciplinary patient care team.
