Cardiovascular Rehabilitation Nurse functions in a multifaceted role that demonstrates professionalism and promotes excellence in the practice of nursing. The Cardiovascular Rehabilitation Nurse is responsible for maintaining high standards for a caseload of patients as described by the scope of care for the area of practice and demonstrates appropriate actions based on sound scientific principles. The Cardiovascular Rehabilitation Nurse also coordinates and directs care delivered by interdisciplinary team. The Cardiovascular Rehabilitation Nurse is accountable for compliance with the Ohio Nurse Practice Act, applicable regulatory standards, and institutional policies and procedures. The Cardiovascular Rehabilitation Nurse provides physical, emotional; and spiritual support that directly/indirectly impacts the patient outcomes and care provided to patients/families/significant others. Responsible for coordinating clinical learning experiences for all interns, students and graduate assistants. Acts as a resource person for the physician and other health care team.
