This 32-bed inpatient unit specializes in the care of cardiovascular and surgical patients with a wide range of cardiac conditions. Common cases include unstable angina, post-MI care, heart failure, arrhythmias, and recovery from cardiac bypass, valve repair/replacement, and thoracic procedures. The unit also manages patients following cardiac catheterizations, device implants, and cardioversions. This unit is recognized as a Top 100 Heart Hospital. The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for utilizing the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, outcomes/planning, implementation and evaluation) to provide individualized nursing care to patients.
