Registered Nurse (RN)-Cardiac Intermediate Care
About The Position
This position consists of three 12-hour day shifts from 7:00AM-7:30PM, offering a great work life balance while being part of a strong and compassionate cardiac care team. Our unit offers a supportive, team-focused environment where you can grow your cardiac nursing skills while making a meaningful impact on patients every day! Advocate Condell Medical Center delivers expert, compassionate care for you and your family. As the largest health care provider and only Level I Trauma Center in Lake County, we offer a full spectrum of medical services close to home. Our hospital is also home to Lake County’s first and only comprehensive Trauma Recovery Center and features an emergency department accredited in both geriatric and pediatric care. These services ensure patients of all ages receive the highest level of specialized treatment when it matters most.
Requirements
- Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
- Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association
- All RNs are required to obtain Chemotherapy Administration Certification within 1 year.
Responsibilities
- As a skilled and compassionate RN, you will play a pivotal role in providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures.
- Using evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and skills communication while leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum.
