About The Position

The Cardiac Acute Care Unit is a 24-bed acute care nursing unit in our new Green Tower that provides specialized nursing care for adult patients. The patient population on this unit includes: Chest pain, NSTEMI, Pre and Post Cardiac and Vascular intervention/surgical patients, Pre and Post Coronary Intervention without sheath in place, Diastolic Congestive Heart Failure with no PA catheter needed for invasive monitoring, Dysrhythmia, Electrophysiology procedures, Post valve procedures, Patients on cardiac infusions per the medication by location policy. Acute care cardiac patients requiring continuous cardiac telemetry and/or pulse oximetry monitoring.

Requirements

  • Licensed to practice as an RN in Georgia.
  • Associate's Degree, ADN or Diploma required.
  • At least 1 year of RN experience – Demonstrated competence in RN I performance expectations or meets experience requirements upon hire.
  • Basic computer skills necessary to operate computer systems used on unit.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous specialty experience preferred.
  • BSN Preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for providing direct and safe patient care based on the nursing process, and for coordinating care for assigned patients on a shift to promote the achievement of clinical outcomes.
