Requirements
- Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
- Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association
Responsibilities
- Help Facilitate Internal Aurora Transfers telephonically
- Help Facilitate Non-Aurora Transfers telephonically, assessing documentation, MD triage, taking and entering orders
- Perform Tele Intake (telephonic or Video) assessments for patients in the ER that have a Behavioral Health Consult. Triage with appropriate on Call MD, along with taking and entering orders.
- Take Triage calls telephonically for patients looking for inpatient to see if medical clearance is needed prior to the patient arriving to the hospital for an assessment.
- On occasion performing assessments for outpatient programs and triaging that assessment with the MD for recommended level of care and scheduling the patient for program
