About The Position

Mercy Youngstown Behavioral Health, operated jointly with Lifepoint Health and Mercy Health, is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for its Behavioral Health unit. The facility is expanding its inpatient capacity and is committed to prioritizing employee well-being to enable exceptional patient care. As a Behavioral Health RN, you will contribute to providing superior patient care that exceeds industry standards and patient expectations. The team utilizes evidence-based modalities like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and trauma-informed care, fostering a supportive and upbeat workplace culture.

Requirements

• Current Ohio RN license
• Associate’s Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited nursing school
• CPR certification required within 30 days of employment
• De-escalation certification required within 30 days of employment

Nice To Haves

• 1-year experience in a psychiatric health care facility preferred

Responsibilities

• Assess the patient and plan care within set time-frames and document findings according to policies.
• Monitor patient for change of condition and respond accordingly up to and including notification of the physician.
• Consistently use empathy, dignity, and respect when interacting with patients.
• Deliver quality nursing care to ensure that goals of the treatment plan are properly executed following hospital policies and procedures and demonstrated nursing competencies.
