About The Position

Castleview Hospital, part of Lifepoint Health, located in Price, UT, is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for their Behavioral Health department. This role is vital in making communities healthier by providing exceptional care. The department fosters a culture of teamwork and effective communication, serving patients from Neonatal to Geriatric. As a BH RN, you will contribute to the mission of improving community health through your skills, compassion, and dedication.

Requirements

• Current state RN license
• Associate’s degree from an accredited nursing school
• BCLS within six months of hire or transfer date to position
• Critical thinking skills
• Decisive judgment
• Ability to work with minimal supervision
• Ability to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action
• Current Utah RN license in the state of practice or Compact License with Utah endorsement
• Associate's degree required

Nice To Haves

• BSN preferred
• One-year previous experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Performs plan of care intervention, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, as well as other medical care treatment.
• Documents patient care given.
• Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate to care team, physician, patient, and family.
• Assists patients with performing activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
• Collaborates as needed across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral and spiritual/psychosocial support needs.
• Evaluates learning needs of patient and/or family and provides patient/family education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
• Works as an advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.
