Requirements

• Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
• Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association

Responsibilities

• Help Facilitate Internal Aurora Transfers telephonically
• Help Facilitate Non-Aurora Transfers telephonically, assessing documentation, MD triage, taking and entering orders
• Perform Tele Intake (telephonic or Video) assessments for patients in the ER that have a Behavioral Health Consult. Triage with appropriate on Call MD, along with taking and entering orders.
• Take Triage calls telephonically for patients looking for inpatient to see if medical clearance is needed prior to the patient arriving to the hospital for an assessment.
• On occasion perform assessments for outpatient programs and triaging that assessment with the MD for recommended level of care and scheduling the patient for program
• Provide and coordinate comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures.
• Use evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and skills communication while leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum.
