The Behavioral Health Services at Frye Regional Medical Center South Campus serves as the gateway to care, helping connect patients with the behavioral health services and support they need. Requirements

• Active North Carolina RN license (single-state) or compact required. If relocating, licensure must be updated to the new Primary State of Residence (PSOR) before employment begins.
• Basic Life Support certification is required within 30 days of hire.
• Handle With Care certification is required within 30 days of hire.
• Two years of Behavioral Health/ Psych experience required.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for reviewing clinical documentation from referrals and accepting patients.
• Works in a fast-paced environment with the ability to gather information and make a determination in less than 15 minutes.
• Performs plan of care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, as well as other medical care treatments.
• Accurately performs patient assessments and identifies patient needs.
• Identifies and initiates appropriate nursing interventions.
• Provides care appropriate to the condition and age of the patient.
• Performs timely and appropriate documentation relating to medical necessity in the medical record.
• Responsible for completion and revision of the Interdisciplinary Care Plan for each patient.
• Performs timely and accurate QI assessments.
