About The Position

Atrium Health Carolinas Medical Center (CMC) is the flagship hospital of Atrium Health, serving as the region's only Level 1 trauma center and an approved transplant center for heart, kidney, pancreas, and liver. It is also one of North Carolina's five Academic Medical Center Teaching Hospitals, providing residency training for over 200 physicians in 15 specialties and serving as a regional campus for Wake Forest University School of Medicine. CMC is Magnet-designated. As a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) in the PACU, you will be responsible for providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process. This involves delivering safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures. You will utilize evidence-based practice, clinical decision-making, compassion, and effective communication to lead efforts in creating the safest patient environment and ensuring the best patient experience across the continuum. Requirements

  • Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
  • Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association

Nice To Haves

  • ACLS and PALS strongly preferred
  • At least one year of previous critical care, emergency department or PACU experience strongly preferred

  • Provide and coordinate comprehensive patient care through the nursing process
  • Deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures
