A preoperative/PACU nurse in an ambulatory surgery setting is responsible for preparing patients for procedures, including assessment, education, and ensuring readiness for surgery. In the post-anesthesia care unit, the nurse monitors patients’ recovery from anesthesia, manages pain and potential complications, and ensures safe discharge criteria are met. This role requires strong clinical judgment, effective communication, and the ability to provide efficient, patient-centered care in a fast-paced environment. The Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN) position is responsible for delivering exceptional nursing care to patients by utilizing strong organizational and leadership skills to assess patient status, determining the priority of the patient’s problems and needs, implementing clinical nursing interventions to acute, critical patients that require intensive medical care, developing and performing patient care plans to enhance and improve outcomes, and ensuring a safe and therapeutic environment.
