About The Position

This position is for a Registered Nurse (RN) in the Angiography/IR – Interventional Labs unit, located in the Heart and Vascular Tower. The unit has 3 Angiography Labs, including 2 Dedicated IR Labs and 1 Hybrid OR. The patient ratios are 1:1. The ideal staffing includes a Lead Tech, RN, ARRT/RTR, and RCIS, forming 3-4 person teams with 2 Techs and 2 RNs. The unit utilizes equipment such as IVUS, Shockwave, Angio Jet, and Jet Stream, and the documentation system is EPIC Cupid. Scheduling involves 4-10 hour shifts with call requirements. ICU/ER experience is needed for patient experience. The unit is a Level 1 Trauma Center and Certified Stroke Center, handling a high acuity patient population with opportunities to work with new equipment and technology. Requirements

Registered Nurse (RN) license.
Critical care medication management skills.
Angio/IR experience, including stroke and trauma care.
ICU/ER experience.
ACLS certification.
BLS certification.

Nice To Haves

Experience with Permcath, Port Placement, Thrombectomy, Atherectomy, TVAR, TIPS, EVAR, PE, Stroke, and Trauma procedures.
Experience with IVUS, Shockwave, Angio Jet, and Jet Stream equipment.
Experience with EPIC Cupid documentation system.

Responsibilities

Provide critical care medication management.
Assist with Angio/IR procedures, including stroke and trauma care.
Operate and manage equipment such as IVUS, Shockwave, Angio Jet, and Jet Stream.
Document patient care using EPIC Cupid.
Participate in 4-10 hour shifts with call requirements.
Collaborate with a team of Lead Tech, RN, ARRT/RTR, and RCIS.
Care for high acuity patients in a Level 1 Trauma Center and Certified Stroke Center environment.
