About The Position

The Ambulatory and Outpatient Registered Nurse (RN), a member of Advocate Health Nursing Professional Governance community, provides high-quality, patient-centered care through evidence-based practice, clinical expertise, and compassionate care delivery in an ambulatory care setting. The RN collaborates with interdisciplinary teams, advocates for patient needs, and upholds professional practice standards to promote optimal health outcomes. As a skilled and compassionate RN, you will play a pivotal role in providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures. Using evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and skills communication while leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum. Our patient load in clinic is generally 16-24 patients a day. We also run injection clinics, which see a similar patient load depending on day/location. We staff 3-4 RN’s with each Allergists. We support 9 allergy clinics, and work across our footprint to support our team. Our team requires adaptability, and a willingness to always learn and grow as an Allergy RN. This position will primarily support our Greater Milwaukee sites. Location and Allergist may vary based on needs. We invite individuals who enjoy a challenge, and want to use their skills in the clinical setting. Allergy is a unique specialty that offers a lot of hands-on experience in the clinical setting. We provide a wide range of testing and services, which gives our team a deep sense of purpose in our work. We are different than other specialties in the clinical setting. Requirements

  • Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
  • Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum of 1 year of RN experience is preferred.
