About The Position

UH Elyria Medical Center 11 Smythe is a 23 bed inpatient unit that provides care to surgical, medical, gastrointestinal, wound, end of life, and trauma patients. This unit embraces a philosophy of love and invests in each other by supporting growth in careers, personal lives, and commitment to making the day better for patients. The role provides safe, efficient, age-specific nursing care to patients/families using the nursing process to assist them in attaining, maintaining, regaining, and sustaining optimal health status.

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) or Master in Nursing (MN)
Knowledge of nursing process and practice.
Uses a wide variety of technical equipment to meet patient needs and prescribed clinical therapies (e.g., stethoscopes, thermometers, sphygmomanometers and electronic monitoring devices).
Registered Nurse (RN), Ohio and/or Multi State Compact License (Required Upon Hire)
Basic Life Support (BLS) (Required Upon Hire)

Nice To Haves

Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) May be required based on the clinical care standards of the unit.
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) May be required based on the clinical care standards of the unit.
