About The Position

Sunnyview Rehabilitation Hospital is a 115-bed acute hospital specializing in physical rehabilitation. Each patient has a dedicated team of physicians, nurses, therapists and specialists focused on helping them recover from stroke, traumatic injury, or disabling illness. The hospital utilizes up-to-the-minute treatment modalities and cutting-edge technology. This specific role is for a Full-Time Night RN on the Cardio-Pulmonary/Med Surg unit.

Requirements

• New York State RN License
• Associates Degree in Nursing
• Strong interpersonal skills with ability to maintain the highest level of customer service while working in a fast paced environment
• Critical thinking and problem solving skills
• Passion to learn, grow and develop in the nursing field

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to a diverse patient population with complex health conditions on the Cardiac-Pulmonary unit.
• Build skills in telemetry, medically complex, and ventilated patient populations.
• Train for Telemetry certification.
• Train for Code blue certification.
• Train for ACLS certification.
• Develop skills in managing ventilators.
• Develop skills in Trach care.
• Develop skills in Peritoneal Dialysis.
• Develop skills in Blood administration.
• Develop skills in IV placement.
• Develop skills in Wound care.
• Develop skills in Bi-Paps and C-paps.
• Develop skills in Reading telemetries.
