Registered Nurse (RN) Acute Care Unit
About The Position
Inova Loudoun Hospital is looking for a dedicated Experienced Registered Nurse to join the 25 & 26 Main Acute Care team. This role will be part-time night shift: 7:00 p.m. – 7:00 a.m. (2- 12 hour shifts per week, days vary). The Acute Care Unit (25 & 26 Main) is a 31-bed, dynamic unit caring for a diverse patient population, including medical, cardiac, surgical, trauma, neurology/stroke, and oncology patients. This is a unit opportunity to build a broad clinical skill set while working in a supportive, team-focused environment. With specialized training and strong mentorship, nurses gain confidence managing a wide range of patient needs while helping shape a growing, high-performing unit. Requirements
- BSN from an accredited school of nursing. If RN has an associate’s degree (ADN); must complete BSN within 5 years of start date.
- Requires a minimum of 1-year Registered Nurse clinical experience in the acute care setting.
- Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Virginia or hold a privilege to practice in the State of Virginia under the Enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification from the American Heart Association required upon start.

Responsibilities
- Performs comprehensive patient health assessments by interpreting multiple data sets and synthesizing their relationships.
- Formulates individualized plans of care based on assessment findings and interpreting trends in patient populations to achieve best practice.
- Conducts all patient care in a patient and family centered manner, integrating knowledge, skills and experiences to meet the needs of patients and families throughout the continuum of care.
- Advocates for patients' rights from the patient and family perspective and provides counsel while acting as a resource to resolve issues.
- Accesses resources from all disciplines to achieve desired patient outcomes and coordinates healthcare and alternate services for patient/family transition planning.
- Evaluates the process to achieve outcomes, anticipates patient variances and makes revisions to plans of care.
