The Abdominal Transplant (Liver, Kidney & Pancreas) unit has 26 beds. It is a high acuity, step-down unit to SICU. The unit cares for transplant patients, as well as patients with liver disease, renal disease, general abdominal surgeries, oncology surgery, and urological overflow. This is a fast-paced, moderate acuity floor that requires the ability to think on your feet and build relationships with your patients.
Requirements
- Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
- Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association
Responsibilities
- Play a pivotal role in providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures.
- Use evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and skills communication while leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum.
